Ringing Report 21 May 2026
The weather was overcast and the wind started to increase in strength, so the nets by the river were taken down. The aim was for warblers and six species were caught. Several juveniles were caught including a Goldfinch and five Robins.
Three Garden Warblers were caught which was a surprise, two males and a female. Hopefully they will breed on the Island. There are two male Cetti’s Warblers on the Island, one was caught and the other was singing at the same time.
One of the Blackcaps, a male was first caught in August 2024. One of the Blue Tits was ringed in September 2023.
In addition, a Collared Dove and a Weasel were seen.
